Professional Services Experience

  • Kaya Camilla Apartments | Project Management & Facilitation Services

The Kaya Camilla Apartments are a new ground-up four-story, 36-unit multifamily apartment and retail space project in North Portland. MCG provided pre-construction services, defined subcontractor scopes, milestones, scheduling, and managed the bidding process. In addition, as Senior Project Executive/Owner, Angela collaborated closely with Hugh Development and the design team to resolve patterns of poor communication and accountability. Through the facilitation of direct conversations between the Owner, Architect, and subcontractors, she was able to create a solutions-oriented and productive team focused on moving submittals and RFIs through the system and efficiently finding answers to issues.

  • Columbia Boulevard Wastewater Treatment Plant, STEP Program | Construction Document Administration

As a part of the design team, MCG is managing, tracking, and distributing RFIs, submittals, transmittals and responses utilizing the City of Portland CViz platform and others as necessary. Other project tasks include: providing quality control management of the design documents utilizing Blue Beam, coordinating design team visits, and attendance and documentation of weekly preconstruction meetings.

  • Bull Run Filtration Facility and Pipelines | Partnering Facilitation

MCG facilitated partnering workshops for the billion-dollar water Bull Run Filtration Facility and Pipelines projects. The partnering workshops brought together leaders from the four project partners—Portland Water Bureau, the program management consultant, the design consultant, and the construction manager/general contractor (CMGC). Session goals were to confirm the project vision and objectives and then identify strategies for effective partnership. The work including planning, coordination, session development, and facilitation of a series of workshops for each of the two project components.

  • Portland Community College Rock Creek Campus | DEI Consulting Services

As a subconsultant to Pence Construction, MCG provided DEI consulting services for this on this CMGC project. MCG worked with the Pence design team to identify opportunities to engage COBID-certified firms on construction projects at the Rock Creek Campus. MCG also assisted with ensuring contract compliance and workforce training for COBID-certified firms, including helping COBID complete forms for workforce and COBID participation and identifying individuals from the BIPOC community for workforce engagement.
